Cheshire Best Kept Stations Chester Eastgate Street Clock Delamere Forest Jodrell Bank

Each year Cheshire’s Railway Stations compete for the coveted awards in the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition.

Chelford was Cheshire’s Best Kept Station 2008 with awards also going to Crewe, Delamere, Frodsham, Helsby, Holmes Chapel, Knutsford, Nantwich, Neston and Wilmslow Railway Stations.

Since it inception in 2003, Cheshire Best Kept Stations have had many wins but the real winner has been the partnership built between the rail operating companies, local authorities and the local volunteer groups - those unsung heroes in the community.

During 2008, Cheshire’s Best Kept Stations worked closely with Visit Cheshire and Chester and their keynote project Cheshire’s Year of Gardens 08. The Competition was also supported by Cheshire County Council, Cheshire Crimebeat, our Borough Councils, the Train Operating Companies, local business and many other organisations.

Nominations are now welcome for Cheshire Best Kept Stations 2009.
