Cheshire Best Kept Stations Rural Countryside Station Flowers courtesy Ian Hulme Parks to enjoy

The opening of the PEAK FOREST TRAMWAY in 1796 and the consequent expansion of limestone quarries contributed greatly to the expansion of the village. The tramway closed in the 1920s and now makes for a pleasant walk to its terminus at Bugsworth Basin.

There is a very active Community Centre that plays host to the DOVE JAZZ CLUB.  An international beer and jazz festival is held annually in early July.

Dove Dale offers some lovely walks including an easy 9.5Km stroll to MILLDALE.  One of the most fascinating features of this walk is the huge caves. Reynard's Cave is definitely worth a visit.
