Hazel Grove is well known for its local nightlife and "The Magic Mile". On a 1 mile stretch of the A6 road there are 11 pubs and 4 bars. Famed for its famous 'Pub Crawl', revelers attempt to complete a long evening that involves a visit to all 15 pub/bar establishments. The Bamboo Club opened in 1961 as a Jazz venue and later on started with groups. Many top musicians have appeared over the years.
HAZEL GROVE BOWLING & TENNIS CLUB provides floodlit facilities for all year round play. The tennis club has a thriving junior section and coaching facilities. The club house has a lounge, snooker and function rooms.
TORKINGTON PARK is the main park in the Hazel Grove area and the home of the Secret Garden. The formal flower garden is a great place to walk round or just sit down and enjoy the wildlife
