Hooton |
Hooton offers a park and ride facility for Birkenhead and Liverpool, being situated close to Junction 5 on the M53. |

Hooton is the station gateway for NESS BOTANIC GARDENS - winner of the Large Visitor Attraction category at Visit Chester & Cheshire Tourism Awards 2008. Many visitors take the train to Hooton and then board the 272/273 hourly bus service to the Gardens. The bus departs from outside the railway station and takes you to the Garden's entrance. WIRRAL COUNTRY PARK includes the former Hooton to West Kirby railway (now a colourful footpath), wildlife-rich woodlands and low cliffs near to the visitor centre, grassy promontories rising above the miles of fine sands along the Dee Estuary. |
