The street Levenshulme Railway Station is located on is 160 years old and 70 metres long yet has no official name and never has had one.

In May 2007, as part of a grant of £5,000 awarded to THE FRIENDS OF LEVENSHULME STATION, an unofficial road sign was erected at the entrance to the street.  The sign gives the name of the street as THE STREET WITH NO NAME.  According to local residents the street had been informally called this for years and it seemed appropriate that it now had a sign so people could find it.

The LEVENSHULME FESTIVAL has just celebrated its tenth birthday and is a celebration of all that Levenshulme has to offer.  It goes from strength to strength and is now firmly established as one of the biggest community events in Europe - thousands of people come and participate each year.
