Cheshire Best Kept Stations New Brighton Station Vast landscapes Rural Countryside

In its heydey, New Brighton boasted a tower taller than Blackpool’s one of the largest ballrooms in the world and the largest swimming pool in the world.  There is still much to see and do in the town.

FORT PERCH ROCK was built between 1826 and 1829, with its lighthouse to guard the entrance to the Mersey. It Is now open to the public and boasts several fine displays, most notably The Aviation Archaeology Museum which incorporates 'Luftwaffe over Merseyside'.

New Brighton's main Theatre, the FLORAL PAVILION, is next to the promenade. This classic and popular theatre has, like much of the historic waterfront, received a complete makeover and reopened in December 2008.

The RIVERSIDE BOWL features 24 lanes of state of the art ten-pin bowling including fully computerised scoring and automatic bumpers. It also features a LaserQuest accommodating up to 22 players and you will also find the fantastically modern '300 Bar' within the centre, which also accomodates 3 English pool tables.
